Addressing Economic Reality Positively
History has shown that maintaining Chamber of Commerce offices in multiple Randolph County towns or locales is simply not efficient, economically or functionally. Randolph County United addresses efficiency: a single office, consolidated staff, shared infrastructure.
But centralized coordination does not mean reduced attention to the challenges and opportunities of individual towns, locales and individual businesses and organizations.
The Chamber Focus is Economic Prosperity
The Chamber Division assists with these aspects of financial success:
- Telling your value story to prospects and clients
- Assisting you in developing business relationships that become infrastructure resources and collaboration partners
- Serving as your advocate on issues being discussed or debated at local, county, state or national levels of government
Success Today and an Eye on the Future
You will receive a variety of educational materials and training programs that are helpful in doing business today. We also provide insights into future marketplace trends and emerging technologies. Chamber educational programs are a combination of electronically delivered content, webinars and events.
United We Achieve Competitor Power
A non-metro county, when viewed as individual parts, looks like a hodge-podge of small elements. When viewed as a community, the county is a diverse range of places to live and do business. For over 150 years, its combined economy has supported local business success and its workforce has generated products sold nationally and internationally.
A non-metro county is easier to traverse by car than a traffic-clogged metro area and has free parking when you arrive. Lifestyle is more relaxed. Cost of living is lower. Crime rates are lower. And metro markets are an easy drive away for professional sports and Broadway plays, zoos, etc.
Logistically, we are a well-positioned “rural” county. Our economic clusters include manufacturing, online technology, agri-business and eco-friendly businesses including wind, solar and alternative-fuel vehicles. Our county and individual communities are prepared to welcome new businesses and new residents, and any current weaknesses are being addressed by RCU’s long-term initiatives.
It’s a strong story, getting stronger, being told by all three of divisions of RCU.
Success for Individual Businesses
We understand that a successful county is important, but that YOUR SUCCESS is the real key to satisfaction with Randolph County United. Among our programs and services:
Business Start-Up: From Grand Opening to successful launch, we work with you to tell your value story. Media includes website, social media, local print media and any special media that focuses on your field of endeavor.

Ongoing Education: Through a combination of electronic updates, print bulletins and physical events, we provide a stream of information that ranges from marketing ideas to best practices in management to emerging technologies.
Committed to the Success of Local Commerce
Some experiments with united chambers have disappointed individual towns or locales because leadership thinking has become regional rather than local.
Randolph County United is committed to maintaining the local focus that drives initiatives such as downtown revitalization and local activities and events. Here’s the formula:
A Partnership in Innovation and Energy
Local initiatives begin with local awareness of needs or opportunities. The seed may be planted in formal meetings or in coffee shops, but the seed must come from local savvy and it will grow only with the engagement of motivated local people.
If those ingredients are in place, the RCU team is prepared to actively engage, bringing expertise in planning and communication and bringing budget dollars often not available at the local level. We look forward to hearing your ideas and assisting in the analysis steps that begin the process.
